Our Wine

A decade of craft, a lifetime of family and the best of Tasmania captured in our small-batch Pinot Noir.

Our winemaking philosophy is centered on expression and connection. By sourcing premium fruit from across Tasmania’s diverse sub-regions, we create small-batch wines that tell a specific story of place and season. Our 2025 Pinot Noir, which is the debut release from Sonnallie, is the culmination of this journey, crafted with a focus on elegance, balance, and the unique character that only Tasmanian cool-climate viticulture can provide.

Our Story

Sonnallie is the heart-led "passion project" of Hobart locals Kate and Russell.

The name itself is a tribute to our two children, Sonny and Hallie, representing the legacy we are building here in Tasmania.

While 2025 marks our first official release, the foundation for Sonnallie was laid over years of experience in the wine industry. After graduating with a degree in Wine Science from Charles Sturt University in 2022, Kate transitioned from cellar hand to winemaker, fuelled by a desire to produce wines that are as personal as they are professional.

For us, Sonnallie isn't just a side hustle; it’s an opportunity to showcase the incredible fruit grown in our backyard and to share our love for the craft with our community, one small batch at a time
